OSHA General Industry Training Program - Special TXANS Member Discounts

OSHA safety standards are being used with increasing frequency in nonsubscriber tort actions. TXANS offers a 10-Hour OSHA General Industry Training Program that offers training in basic health and safety topics. 

While the program focuses primarily on the needs of a nonsubscriber’s employees and supervisors or managers, nonsubscriber industry professionals may also benefit. Participants are introduced to OSHA policies, procedures and standards, general industry safety and health principles and the value of safety overall.  Presentations, demonstrations, videos and a series of tests help ensure an effective learning experience that focuses on the following topics:

TXANS will visit with you before the program begins to learn about your specific needs and customize a program based on your needs assessments within the parameters of the OSHA training requirements.  Participants can receive recognition for the participation from OSHA, TXANS and in some cases, continuing education credit from the Texas Department of Insurance.  OSHA recognizes completion of this course as an indication of the importance of safety and health at an organization.  A comprehensive manual is also available to program participants, which can be used future injury prevention and compliance efforts.  Among other things, the manual contains:
