OBAMA ADMINISTRATION DELAYS EMPLOYER MANDATE UNDER HEALTHCARE LAW
The Obama administration announced late yesterday that it will delay a key provision of the Affordable Care Act, which requires employers with 50 or more full-time employees to provide health benefits or pay a fine. The mandate that was originally set to take effect in 2014 has been postponed to 2015. Mark J. Mazur, assistant secretary for tax policy wrote in a post, “We have heard concerns about the complexity of the requirements and the need for more time to implement them effectively”.
