TXANS PARTICIPATES IN NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH
According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small business represents more than 99% of all employers and small to medium-sized businesses are the most vulnerable after an emergency. Because an emergency could potentially uproot a devastating number of businesses and their employees, it is important for businesses to develop and maintain an emergency plan. Having an emergency plan can help protect a company and its employees by helping to maximize its survivability and recovery after an incident.
Ready Business, an extension of the Ready Campaign, is designed to help owners and managers of small and medium-sized businesses prepare their employees, operations and assets for a potential emergency. The Ready Business section of www.ready.gov contains vital information for businesses on how to get started preparing their business for their unique needs during an emergency.
For more information on NPM or for assistance, please visit www.ready.gov/business or call 1-800-BE-READY. Free Ready publications and other emergency preparedness information is available at www.ready.gov/business.
