09/17/2009 -- NONSUBSCRIBER OBLIGATIONS UNDER SECTION 111 OF THE MEDICARE, MEDICAID AND SCHIP EXTENSION ACT
A September 30, 2009 registration deadline will impact nonsubscribers and others as it relates to the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007. Section 111 of the Act adds new requirements to aid the federal government in determining when Medicare does not have the primary payment responsibility for Medicare expenses.

TXANS is pleased to announce its fall 2007 Nonsubscriber Focus Series, which will examine new laws passed by the 80th Legislature. We will review laws aimed specifically at Texas nonsubscribers along with new laws that relate to Texas employers in general. Attendees will hear what is required for compliance including outlines, sample policies, associated forms, posters and more.
04/18/2007 -- TXANS 17th ANNUAL NONSUBSCRIBER CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION
TXANS will host its 17th Annual Nonsubscriber Conference and Exhibition on April 18th and 19th in Austin, Texas. More than four hundred attendees are expected for the conference that will feature an informative general session, a wide selection of educational Learning Labs and an extensive exhibition of nonsubscriber related products and services. TXANS 2007 Learning Labs will explore the feasibility of nonsubscription along with ethics, medical issues, cost management, litigation strategies, ERISA regulations and the year’s most pertinent case law for Texas nonsubscribers. Additional Learning Labs will also offer a look at significant employment law findings and ensuring compliance with various state and federal laws.
